LANDSCAPE ILLUMINATION for BOOM FESTIVAL 2018 – Alchemy Circle Area

Boom is festival of music and art dedicated to free spirits from all over the world. Boom Festival bases its principles on alternative culture, active participation, creativity, evolution, humanism, independence, love, oneness, peace, social awareness, sustainability and transcendence.

The 2018 theme was “Secret Geometry”.

For the Alchemy Cirlce area – the second largest stage of the Festival – I designed and built 30 lamps inspired by the geometry of simple shapes that move in the air.

I played with several small prototypes before arriving at the one that answered my request: the idea was to have a model that can only be replicated 30 times with a particular shape that could find different positions on the ground. The basic triangles, with increasing angles, become the bases from time to time different, accompanying the light on the different inclinations.
